Outbound pick-ups and drop-offs

Outbound FedEx shipments can be picked up or dropped off via the following methods.

If your nine-digit FedEx account number appears on the airbill, regardless of whether you generated the airbill online at fedex.com or printed it on a paper form, there are several options for your shipment:

  • Drop your package in any FedEx drop box (on- or off-campus), at the UPC Mail Stop, or the HSC One Stop.
  • Take your package to a FedEx service center.
  • Place the package with your department’s outgoing mail for pick-up by Mailing Services.
  • Call FedEx directly at 800-463-3339 (800-GO-FEDEX), to schedule a pick-up from your department.

For same-day departmental pick-ups at no charge:

  • Call FedEx at 800-463-3339 (800-GO-FEDEX), before 3:00 p.m. (FedEx airbills for express services only; excludes FedEx Ground).
  • Call Mailing Services at 213-821-1200 before 4:45 p.m. (UPC and HSC), or before 2:30 p.m. (Alhambra).

If you are using an Outgoing Mail Requisition:

  • Place the package with your department’s outgoing mail for pick-up by Mailing Services.
  • Drop your package at the UPC Mail Stop or the HSC One Stop before 4:00 p.m.

FedEx shipments on Outgoing Mail Requisitions cannot be dropped in a FedEx mailbox or handed directly to a FedEx representative.

Inbound deliveries

FedEx will deliver directly to USC departments. Please be certain that those sending FedEx packages or envelopes have your department’s correct street address (not just a campus mail code). The correct postal service format is as follows:
